Bunny

This is a drinking game played in a group sat around a table involving actions and singing.

The starter of the game is known as 'Super Bunny'. He initiates the game by putting his thumbs to his head like bunny ears, waving his fingers up and down and repeatedly saying "Bunny, Bunny, Bunny, ..." over and over again as he does this.

Both players either side of the Super Bunny must put up 'bunny ears' on their side nearest to the Super Bunny and join in with the chanting.

The formation should look something like this:

Whoever is in the middle of the arrangement, the Super Bunny, is in control of the play at that time. The Super Bunny can be passed around the table as follows. However, the basic formation of 3 people shown above must always be preserved:

  • the Super Bunny can drop one of his hands. This passes the Super Bunny around the table to the person next to him. The formation of 3 must now be performed centred around the new Super Bunny.

  • the Super Bunny can take his thumbs off his head and point both hands at someone else, whilst saying "Bunny!". This passes the Super Bunny onto the person indicated.

  • the Super Bunny can fake a pass by pointing at someone and shouting "Bunny!" without taking their thumbs off their heads. This is to try to trick someone into thinking they have become Super Bunny, but in fact the Super Bunny is not passed.

  • the Super Bunny can stand up, take his thumbs off his head and point both hands directly upwards whilst shouting "Bunny's Up!". The Super Bunny is then available for anyone else to take by standing up, shouting "My Bunny!" and taking on the Super Bunny actions. If two people do this at the same time however, they must drink 3 fingers.

  • a "Bunny's Up!" shout can also be faked if the thumbs do not leave contact with the head.

  • the Super Bunny may cross his hands over at any time so his hands perform ears on the 'wrong' side of his head. Both players either side of him must do likewise.

Apart from the basic bunny, their are also other actions that can be performed and passed around the group in the same way. A change from one action to another is achieved by calling the name of the new action whilst pointing at another player.

In Hawaii Five-O, the Super Bunny stands and performs a surfing action with his arms whilst the two players either side of him stand and perform an oar paddling action on the side furthest from the Super Bunny, as shown in the picture below. At the same time, they sing the Hawaii Five-O theme tune.

In Dambusters, the Super Bunny stands and places his hands upside-down over his eyes like goggles. The two players either side of the Super Bunny stand and circle an arm in front of them as if it was a propeller on a plane. The two players either side of them stand and have their outside arms extended like the wings of a plane. This is shown in the picture below. At the same time, they sing the theme to film The Dambusters.

If any mistakes are made, for example a player performs the wrong action at the wrong time, or generally doesn't adhere to the rules above, then they must drink the penalty of three fingers.

New formations and songs can be invented as is desired.
